The EPS AQUAmax® 4-8PE Unit requires ongoing maintenance. To ensure the unit operates efficiently there are important criteria which must be adhered to:

1. AQUAmax® must be installed as per EPS recommendations
2. The unit must be desludged every 1-3 years (depending on the population served)
3. Excessive use of detergents and cleaners must be avoided. (EPS strongly recommend the use of phosphate free detergents and cleaning agents)
   In addition to this EPS Ltd., shall visit the plant once yearly (see charges below) to carry out maintenance by checking the following:-
   • Quality of Effluent – Visual Check
   • Verify operation of AQUAmax® programme of operation
   • Check and record any alarms etc. in Alarm History Log
   • Verify operation of pumps and aerator
   • Verify operation of U.V. disinfection unit where fitted
   • Verify operation of phosphate removal system where fitted
   • Check all electrical joints and connections
   • Measure and record all sludge levels in each chamber
   • Carry out cone test to verify sludge settleability
   • Measure pH and dissolved oxygen levels and record in service reports log
   • Advise customer on desludging if required or on any other issues that are apparent
   • Supply to customer a Maintenance Report and log for the service as carried out
   • Optional twice-yearly service is also available as outlined below.
   
   The first twenty-four months carries our manufacturers warranty from the date of commissioning and provided that the unit has been checked & desludged accordingly, EPS shall then repair/replace any defective parts within the first twenty-four month period. Local Authorities require the customer to hold a maintenance agreement. EPS will undertake to carry out this service for a fee of €250.00 (incl. VAT) yearly (Parts Excluded) paid in-full up front. Alternatively two (2) visits per year at €450.00 inclusive of VAT.
   Emergency calls will be charged at our standard rates plus materials and mileage
   Warranty guarantees are dependent on an EPS technician carrying out the regular service as advised.
