  • Effluent disinfected to comply with EU directives
  • Effluent quality complies with WHO standards
  • Ideal for sites where water reuse is at a premium
  • Advanced environmental protection equipment to achieve quality discharges

CLEREFLO MBR
The Clereflo MBR is a below ground packaged sewage treatment plant that incorporates the COPA Membrane Bioreactor (MBR) process. COPA membrane technology combined with EPS/Conder sewage treatment expertise ensures the Clereflo MBR offers exceptional performance and quality assured manufacture, plus unrivalled and reliable treated discharge results.

THE PROCESS

  • There are three treatment stages within the Clereflo MBR: (1) flow balancing using a bucket lift elevator, (2) primary settlement,
separation of gross solids, (3) biological treatment in the membrane bioreactor
  • This final stage uses flat sheet membrane panels, housed in units, and aerated by a coarse bubble system. Membrane units are situated in the activated sludge chamber providing a physical barrier to ensure good solid/liquid separation
  • Effluent flows through the membrane from outside to inside, and the liquid head above the unit drives the flow and generates all
    the pressure required
  • The discharged effluent produced using the Clereflo MBR plant is of a quality that allows the effluent to be reused in a variety of applications. The quality produced is less than: 5mg/l BOD: 5mg/l S.S.: 5mg/l NH3
  • There is also a 4 log reduction in viruses and a 6 log reduction in bacteria
  • The effluent complies with the World Health Organisation (WHO) qualification criteria for unlimited irrigation
  • The Clereflo MBR also meets and exceeds some of the most stringent discharge standards in the world - therefore treated effluent can be
reused for irrigation of golf courses and plants, woodlands and gardens
